Daniel 11 Prophecy
Scripture
Daniel 11:13-14
For the king of the North will must another army, larger than the first, and after several years, he will advance with a huge army fully equipped. In those times many will rise against the king of the South. Those who are violent among your own people will rebel in fulfilment of the vision, but without success.
History
Antiochus III (KOTN) attacks Ptolemy IV repeatedly. Ptolemy IV dies and his successor, Ptolemy V becomes king (KOTN).
Despite being still a young boy, he is attacked again by Antiochus III.
The prophecy not only predicts the wars between the 2 kingdoms, it also notes the exact point at which there is a Jewish rebellion in Egypt (“your own people” - remember, Daniel is a Jew). History suggests this rebellion was down to the wretched rule of Ptolemy IV, and partly due to the massacre of the Jews (mentioned previously).
The prophecy states that the rebellion failed. History records that the rebellion was crushed by an Egyptian general called Scopas.
