Daniel 11 Prophecy

Scripture

Daniel 11:20
His successor will send out a tax collector to maintain the royal splendour. In a few years, however, he will be destroyed, yet not in anger or in battle.

History

Antiochus III’s son: Seleucus IV, could not afford roman taxes. He sends a Jew to collect them and gets him to plunder a Jerusalem temple but returns with nothing.

Seleucus IV was later poisoned, so he did not die in battle, exactly as the prophecy states.
